Morning Check List - Use this checklist during morning meeting to help your student stay regulated and organized during this activity.

   

Books - This website has a list of books for or about kids with autism spectrum disorders as well as books for parents of children with autism or Asperger''s syndrome.

   
Communication Log - This form will function as a record of communication
between parent and staff. It is an example of what some parents seek as
far as what they want to know about their child's day. This format allows
parents to communicate to the school regarding home activities as well.

   
Strategies To Facilitate Learning- This is a “cheat sheet” for para-professionals,teachers, specialists and other appropriate personnel who have interactions with students with ASD.

   
What is autism? - This page will summarize the definition of autism as
written by The Autism Society.

   
Observation Form -This form can be used by teachers making classroom
observations to share at a later time with staff or parents.

   
Website Links - These websites are available for browsing when looking
for resources, activities, or other links related to autism.

   
Team Meeting Template - To be used during team meeting consultation for on-going evaluation of a child's program.

   
Transactional Supports Form - there are numerous staff working with a
student, organization is key. This sheet will delineate what the
para-professional or teacher should be doing to support the student for
success. Important on this sheet is what language is to be used during an
activity.

   
SCERTS Activity Sheet - If you're familiar with the SCERTS program, this is a transactional support that looks at ways of supporting students in the classroom.

   

Behavior Matrix- This is a tool used for charting a students behavior
across the day and week. In the code box you write what the behavior is
that you will track.For example:

  • 1= kicking
  • 2= out of seat

Use the number of the code in the appropriate boxes for tracking occurrences.

A free booklet on exercises put together by students from Singapore Management University as a special service learning project. Based on the books “The Principals of Exercise Therapy” by M. Dena Gardiner, and “Motor Development Program for School-Age Children” by physical therapist Jeanne Shanks Sellers and finally, consultation with the head coach of the Bazgym Gymnastics School, Sng Puay Liang, this booklet is meant to enhance interaction between children and the adults they work and live with.
