Welcome to Deans Mill School

 

Dear Parents and Guardians, 

The Deans Mill School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) would like to welcome you back to a new and exciting year. We are gearing up for a full year of events to support our students, teachers and school. We will be starting off our year selling mums from Pequot Plant Farm in September followed by the DMS Fall Festival on October 15th. This event is such an amazing community building fundraiser. We have missed this event since the last time we hosted it in 2019!!

Our PTO raises funds and sponsors many events that go on throughout the school year. We are here from kindergarten and new student orientation, until the last day of school. We support our teachers with funds for the classrooms and fund many of the field trips. We host many community building events like DMS Fall Festival, Movie Night, Ice Skating, and Family Bowling Day to name a few.  The PTO also sponsors Back to School Ice Cream Social, Cultural Enrichments, Science & Technology Day, Field Day and the Book Fairs, just to name a few favorites. 

We are always looking for volunteers for special events and fundraisers now more than ever with so many families that have graduated DMS in the last three years. Look out for blasts to sign up through parent square throughout the year to get involved. We will be holding bi-monthly meetings in person the 3rd Tuesday of every other month at 5:30 pm. We are always looking for new faces with new ideas. By being a parent/guardian with a student at DMS, you are already part of the PTO, and there is no sign-up needed to attend. Feel free to join one or all the meetings. 

We welcome you to attend our first PTO meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 6:00 PM!  More information will be sent out prior to the first meeting!
